Explore Kansas, Home of the Kansa Tribes

Kansas was named after the Kansa tribe which inhabited the land in the course of the earlier days and it's also residence to the Kansas River, which flows by it. Nearly all of Kansas consists of undulating plains, and there are smaller mountainous areas, as well. A sampling of sights in Kansas is featured below.

The Legends at Village West - It is said to be one the preferred tourist points of interest in Kansas City, and spreads out over an area of four hundred acres. It includes a mall and numerous other points of interest such because the Kansas Speedway, an auto race observe, Schlitterbahn Vacation Village, a water park and a vacation resort, Wizard Stadium Advanced which is upcoming, and far more. There are a number of recreational options for every family member at Village West.

Kansas Cosmo Sphere & Space Museum - It is a unique Space Museum, which has one of the rarest space artifacts showcased within. These artifacts include the Liberty Bell 7 Capsule, which was recovered from the Ocean ground; the space suit worn by Yuri Gagarin; replicas of the soviet Sputnik and American Explorer; and an exhibit on Laika - the primary canine to orbit the Earth.

Flint Hills - This space is also know as the Blue Stern Hills, which has been declared an eco-area -- with a view to defending the prairie lands. Most of Kansas used to be coated with water, and what stay is limestone deposits. A scenic byway passes via the Tall-Grass Prairie National Reserve.


Cedar Bluff State Park - This is among the hottest natural reserves for adventure nuts, which’re on the lookout for camping actions and outside recreational opportunities. This park has many activities akin to fishing, boating and enjoying considerable natural wonders, all against the backdrop of cedar trees rising on the limestone hills. It has a complete of 121 camp sites, besides boating ramps, and fishing in the reservoir.

Mid America Air Museum - This is without doubt one of the largest air museums in the nation. It has a singular assortment of flight and historical artifacts, as well as a display of a hundred and five airplanes.
